Resolution and Mediation in the Workplace
Conflict Resolution in the Workplace
Human resources, or HR, frequently serves as a
go-between for staff members and managers, resolving disputes fast and making
sure businesses respect workers' rights. Employee disputes are resolved at work
by human resources staff by interpreting corporate regulations and employment
and labor legislation.
A neutral third person
facilitates the voluntary process of mediation to settle disputes. In any work
relationship, conflict can arise; it is preferable to address it early on. If
ignored, it may worsen and require the involvement of employment tribunals, disciplinary
actions, and grievance procedures. By assisting parties in coming to a mutually
agreeable agreement, mediation steers clear of these more formal and expensive
paths
Mediation seeks to give a solution to individual
workplace conflict without recourse to formal rights-based processes. It
aims to:
ü
provide solutions that are faster and less
stressful
ü
address underlying relationship difficulties
ü
reach solutions that are more genuinely win-win
and increase the chances that relationships can continue afterwards
